I am interested in the organic lines and patterns caused by erosion and decay.
My paintings are acrylic on canvas, matt or satin varnished and ready to hang with wire fixings on the back. The edges of each canvas are painted in keeping with the painting itself.
You may choose to frame your canvas works if you don't like the edges showing. This is traditionally done with a simple unglazed frame, called a "floating" frame.
The mixed media works are also on canvas and are coated with an acrylic polymer layer, which is similar to resin, then gloss varnished.
My new encaustic works are on claybord and have wire fixings on the back. Encaustic is a mixture of melted resin and beeswax applied in layers.
